Facilities

The school building, Adrian House, started life as a hospital over a hundred years ago, and is situated on the south-west corner of Vincent Square, overlooking the school’s playing fields. A major building and refurbishment programme started in the summer of 2000 and was completed in October 2001. A hall/gymnasium was built on the site of the old hall with two new classrooms, an information technology room and an art suite on the first floor. The final stage of the programme saw the refurbishment of every classroom and the science laboratories, with extra space created for the music department. In recent years interactive whiteboards have been fitted into most classrooms.

A further development of the school’s facilities should be completed by September 2011 and a new dining hall and specialist art rooms will be created in a building opposite Adrian House.
